The aim of the course is to provide an analysis of how institutions drive development processes and outcomes. This course draws on the disciplines of economics, history, sociology and political science. The course discusses the debates and theoretical models used to explain the different outcomes of institutional arrangements. It also examines different paths of institutional development and their implications for public policy.
